Immediate supervisor: Production Supervisor
OVERVIEW
The incumbent ensures that production runs smoothly, in strict compliance with quality standards. The incumbent is responsible for adjusting the equipment settings to ensure the required specifications are met.
PREREQUISITES AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Education, experience, knowledge, and skills
- Secondary 5 diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of production experience in the food industry in the past 5 years
- Ability to use tools (screwdriver, wrench, etc.) to disassemble and assemble machines
- Familiarity with quality standards
- Ability to work with numbers
- Knowledge of French; knowledge of English, an asset

Work conditions
- Work in a production plant —hairnet, smock and waterproof safety boots required
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg
- Occasionally required to work at the other plant
Responsabilités
- Assemble equipment parts
- Prepare settings and adjustments for various equipment throughout the automated production line
- Check that electrical and electronic devices are running properly (labeller, capping machine, heat sealer, bar code reader)
- Ensure the proper production date, labels, and bar codes are being used
- Confirm that the proper containers, caps, and labels are being used
- Make sure the production chain is sufficiently stocked with containers, lids, labels, and raw materials
- Fill out quality and production sheets
- Tally daily production totals
- Prepare production line equipment for cleaning
- Disassemble equipment
- Remove remaining packaging material
- Execute the daily cleaning plan
- Discard all chemicals in the machines and reassemble
- Follow instructions issued by quality control staff and make the required modifications
- Notify quality control staff and supervisor of any discrepancies
- Coordinate daily production chain needs with the warehouse
- Perform other tasks as assigned
